Going home early to shave for Church

Hey guys!

Hope your week has been great!!

Here is a bit about my week:

My favorite Elder Tuua moment would probably be him convincing another missionary that a certain bodily function means "to eat" in Samoan. Haha a bit childish, but funny none-the-less. This missionaries companion is in on the joke, so when ever we see them eating we ask in Samoan "Oh, are you _____?" Hahaha. Good times.

I don't think my soa understands exactly what you guys are asking for (we asked Jarrad if his companion could share something funny about him), so he just says "Talofa!"

Another smile moment with Elder Tuua. I offered to go in the back for him instead... :)

The Savior went through all of our struggles

This week we had zone conference with our mission pres. It was a great spiritual experience. We talked a lot about urgency and diligence. We also talked a lot about how the Savior went through all of our struggles in the work so that we can have strength to continue forward. It was super inspiring. It was neat because the format was different from most training meetings. In the past, we have had someone teach us all different things about missionary work etc, but this time around it was like the mission conference with Elder Bednar. We were asked to be prepared by reading different scriptures that Pres. prepared, and then basically we were asked to share our insights from our preparation. Some of those missionaries shared some pretty inspiring stuff! It was neat!

Meet the Mormons

Another choice experience was that we were able to watch "Meet the Mormons" on Wednesday evening at the movies. It was incredible!!!!!! What an inspiring movie!! I loved the references to the Simpsons and South Park hahahaha. Those Mormons definitely live their beliefs.

The coolest part was the people that ended up showing up to the movie. Guess who I saw for the first time in almost a year?! Brian!!! It was sooo good to see him and to be able to catch up with him and the family. Apparently he is doing sooooo well!! He is teaching Gospel Principles, preparing to go to the temple, and so energized to share the Gospel!! Man! That honestly was the highlight of the week. I was able to exchange emails with him. He said some things that really boosted my Spirits. He said that I had changed his life. That the things that I did for him are of eternal significance to him. He wants to stay in contact for the rest of, well, forever. What a good man. It was the spiritual boost that I needed. Seeing Brian's progression and how the Gospel has changed him has motivated me to want to help more people to experience the same joy of the gospel. What a blessing!!

A brief update on people: J*nior and K*lloni were busy at the time that we went over for our appointment unfortunately. Their car was busted so they were busy running around trying to fix it. So we rescheduled for later this week. Bro Ch* still regularly attends church. He still wants to get baptized this year, he just needs a bit of motivation from the members in the area, and prayers of faith from us all to quicken his decision!

Going home early to shave for Church

My favorite teaching experience was probably our rescue visits with less-active members, for a change. Normally it is with our investigators, but this time it wasn't! It was just really cool how all of the individuals that we went to see were all prepared to receive us. One brother got home just after we walked up to his door. He told us that he had just quit his job and was going home early to shave for church (our visit was Sunday morning). Wow! What a miracle! It is neat how Heavenly Father prepares his children and his servants.

Sorry, I feel a bit out of it during this email session, which is why my letter is shorter than normal; we got up early today to play touch (rugby). I am struggling to stay awake hahahaha :)

Love you guys heaps!
